Constitution Day Assembly

Date: 26th November 2025

Performed by: XI-D

The students of Class XI-D conducted a special assembly to observe Constitution day also known as the ‘Samvidhan Divas’, celebrated on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The programme began with a respected welcome of our Principal and Vice principal ma’am and a special assembly highlighting India’s identity as the world’s largest democracy with the longest written constitution. The students concisely reflected upon the contribution of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, importance of universal adult franchise and execution of regular elections, even in sensitive and militancy affected areas.

A key highlight of the assembly was the discussion on a widely debated topic of “One Nation-One Election”. Furthermore, students conducted a talk show featuring an analytical exchange of views on simultaneous elections where they compared it with the current electoral system, discussed its feasibility, and the need for a clear model and explanation of how such a system could function. They also followed it with the idea that having “only one election” can reduce disruptions and improve administrative efficiency. This was followed by an impactful street play portraying how electoral practices can contribute towards our economic growth and reduce disruptions such as political rallies, traffic jams and unnecessary expenditure. They also emphasised on the 129th constitutional Amendment Bill,2024 and the Union Territories Laws amendment bill, showing how improved election system could prevent policy paralysis.

Moreover, our Indian Music Choir performed a song dedicated to the spirit of the Constitution. The performance emphasised Dr. Ambedkar’s message that constitutional morality must be cultivated and equality must flourish. The assembly, thus, concluded with inspiring words from Principal Ma’am, who encouraged students to become Constitution abiding citizens of India.
